Door to door public transport

- Passengers request a trip, specifying the time they wish to depart or arrive, how many seats they require, and the departure and arrival addresses (or geographic coordinates). Requests are stored in a central computer for matching and processing.

- Approved local transport providers (taxis, buses, possibly private vehicles) are shown the request on a wireless device in their vehicle. The request is only visible if the matching computer has determined that the vehicle has the time and seats to fulfil the request.

- Transport providers may place an offer amount on the request if desired.

- Passenger may accept the offer whose price and/or time suits them best.

- Once the passenger accepts an offer, it is understood by passenger and transport provider that the vehicle will appear at the agreed time and place, and complete the trip as agreed to in the offer.

- The central computer may (and will) put passengers together into the same vehicle where feasible. This establishes a shared-transport system.
